CÔTEAUX-DU-LAYON

Gateway to our terroir vineyards, Effusion is a cuvée we envisioned in 2001. A blend of hillside parcels on volcanic rocks, effusive rocks… Did you say ‘effusive terroir’? Then let’s go for an ‘Effusion’ wine!

Effusion is a wine of aromatic freshness, as its name suggests. It pairs perfectly from appetizers to cheese, as well as with fish and grilled white meats.

Pale golden with green highlights, its nose blends anise with candied lemon, then it evolves with notes of sweet almond and white pepper, before delicately revealing its terroir with a few fragrances of white peach. The palate unveils it with more precision through its texture. Woody, it offers structure to the wine, giving it a depth that suits the taste buds exploring it, revealing with each touch floral, fruity, or spicy elements.

Loire Valley wines and Layon wines

The wines of Côteaux-du-Layon are made from Chenin. The great wines of Côteaux-du-Layon are not always appreciated for what they are worth. There are few white wines in France that can rival them. Throughout the entire department, except in Saumur, only white wine is made
